Kurt Angle : Olympic Hero Praises Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit
Kurt Angle has named his favorite WWE match that he wasn’t involved in. On a recent episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about his favorite match from WrestleMania 20 in 2004. Angle picked the Triple Threat match between Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Benoit.
“Okay, hands down,” Kurt Angle said. “WrestleMania 20 Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit, best Triple Threat I ever saw in my life. Me and Eddie had a banger of a match at night, and that Triple Threat blew us out of the water. I was so pissed off, I was so jealous.”
Angle went on to praise all three wrestlers in the match
He said that Triple H was “the best in the world” at the time, that Michaels was “the greatest of all time,” and that Benoit was “the most underrated wrestler in history.”
“It was just a perfect storm,” Kurt Angle said. “The chemistry between those three guys was off the charts. They were all at the top of their game, and they put on a match that will never be forgotten.”
